replicating an excellent natural duck tone.
Jimmy then slowly, meticulously shaves the wood block down to a close approximation of the
Duckhead species he is addressing.
The Duckhead duck call is then hand-sanded down to reflect specific species detail.
Jimmy thereafter applies a primer-sealer to the duck call to prepare the call's surface for artist-quality paints reflecting the species and markings. The painstaking blending of paints and highlighting of characteristic markings achieves a wonderful natural look for each Duckhead call.
