Jimmy's decoy carvings are made from the finest select sugar pine lumber, hand-carved in the traditional hunting style with keel and lead weight. Realistic color is painstakingly achieved through repeated hand brushing using artist-quality paints. Blending of paints and highlighting of characteristic markings provide a beautiful duck decoy, for the mantel or enjoyment in the embrace of the marsh.

Jimmy began carving decoys in the mid-1970's for his own use as a hunter. His hunting friends, admiring the beauty and efficacy of his carvings in the field, asked for additional carved decoys to call their own. Jimmy thereafter began carving in earnest, redoubling his efforts to produce decoys reflecting of the beauty of the duck species while serving as a genuine hunting advantage.
Over time, painstakingly, Jimmy refined his craft as he meticulously researched his subject and consulted with some of the older masters of the slowly dying American Folk art of hand-crafted duck decoys.
Jimmy's decades of hard work has borne fruit - as evidenced by the numerous Blue Ribbon and other honors and awards he has won in regional and national competitions from coast to coast.
